Upcycling, or making old pillowcases and shirts into clothes, was one of
many social justice activities during the 2013 MLK celebration.
Following a successful celebration week that honored the legacy of
Martin Luther King Jr., the planning committee is seeking a theme for
the 2014 celebration.
The theme in January was “Shake the World: Empower the Dream.”
Submissions from students, faculty and staff members can be sent
via email to Linda Ray in the Office of Multicultural Affairs,
[email protected]. The deadline to submit a theme is June 28.
