The Grand Valley Dodgeball Club won the National College Dodgeball Association championship April 14 after beating Michigan State University in a 3-0 match.

The NCDA 2013 National Championship took place in Lexington, Kentucky from April 13-14. Grand Valley beat teams from Northwestern State, James Madison, Miami (Ohio), Bowling Green State and Kentucky State universities before going on to the final match against Michigan State.

“It’s been three years since we’ve won a national championship, so we were really excited about winning the national title this year,” said Dylan Fettig, president and assistant captain of the Dodgeball Club.

This is the fifth national championship the Dodgeball Club has won since the team formed in 2005. The sports club has more than 35 players.
