Arts at Noon Series presents Akropolis Reed Quintet
Grand Valley’s Arts at Noon Series continues with a performance by
the Akropolis Reed Quintet, Wednesday, November 6, from noon - 1 p.m.
in Cook-DeWitt Center, Allendale Campus.
Founded in 2009 and winner of five national chamber music prizes,
the Akropolis Reed Quintet is a cutting edge ensemble which performs
an innovative, living repertoire with acclaimed precision. Their
dynamic concerts feature modern compositions framed by fresh
arrangements of classical music spanning four centuries. At the heart
of their new music initiatives are more than 20 commissions of
composers from around the world, including the United States, Canada,
France, the Netherlands, Turkey, Israel, Argentina, and Serbia.
