Shooting Club competes at regional conference
Several students from the Grand Valley Shooting Club received
awards at the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference Finals Match on
February 25 and 26.
The competition was held at Michigan State University and the
club competed against universities including University of Michigan,
Purdue and Ohio State.
Grand Valley students received awards for their personal
performance throughout the season: Tim McLogan placed first, Bruce
Dixon placed second and Erik Vernon placed fourth.
“These awards mean they showed the most improvement in the
entire conference for this season,” said Patrick Arena, president of
the club. “We’re all proud of their improvement.”
The club is one of more than 50 sports clubs at Grand Valley.
