Association Breakfast will feature Birgit Klohs, president and CEO of
The Right Place, Inc.
Klohs will speak about “Advancing West Michigan’s Economy — A
Long-term Strategy for Growth” on May 8 at Grand Valley’s Pew Grand
Rapids Campus. Also during the breakfast, the West Michigan small
businesses named as part of the “50 to Watch” will be honored.

Klohs has been the president & CEO of The Right Place, Inc.,
since 1987. The Right Place is the regional economic development
organization for the retention, expansion and attraction of businesses
to the West Michigan area. Klohs, a native of Germany, previously
worked at Grand Valley State University where she served as assistant
director of the Office for Economic Expansion. Prior to working at
Grand Valley, Klohs was affiliated with Prince Corporation in Holland.
