1. Payroll will populate holiday codes in

2. Only prescheduled mail
deliveries to offices (working over the break) will be made.
3. The heat in all buildings will be lowered to 50-55 degrees to
maximize energy savings. No activities or events should be scheduled
during this period.
4. Allendale Campus drives, parking lots and sidewalks will be
adequately plowed to permit access to campus for staff. For special
events, please notify Customer Service at the Allendale Campus at
331-3000 prior to December 14. Pew Campus reserved lots and sidewalks
will be adequately plowed. For special events at the Pew Campus,
contact Facilities Management at 331-6700 prior to December 21.
5. For operating hours for the Rec Center (including the Kelly
Family Sports Center, Pool and Climbing Center hours, which are
usually different than the Rec Center), go to

6. The Information Technology Offices and Manitou Lab in
Allendale will be closed during the break. Email and the campus
computer network will remain online and attended.
7. In Allendale, 24-hour security will be provided. Emergency
calls go through Central Dispatch 911 and non-emergency calls through
Public Safety at 331-3255. If access to a building is required, prior
arrangements must be made with the Department of Public Safety Office
at 331-3255 before December 21. On the Pew Campus, 24-hour security
will be provided. Emergency calls go through Grand Rapids Dispatch
9-911 and non-emergency calls through Pew Campus Security at 331-6677
or 292-8052. If access to a building is required, prior arrangements
must be made with the Pew Campus Security Department at 331-6677
before December 21.
8. Maintenance emergency response will be handled in Allendale
through Central Utilities Building at 331-3000. Staff will be
dispatched as necessary. Those at the Pew Campus, Muskegon Lake
Michigan Center and Holland Meijer Campus should contact Pew Campus
Security at 331-6677.
