Grand Valley is saddened by death of supporter

The Grand Valley community is saddened by the death of Donna M. Bliss, wife of retiree Jock Bliss, who died February 5 in Arizona. She was 79.

Jock Bliss retired from Grand Valley as director of public relations in 1994. He began working at Grand Valley in 1978.

While the couple lived in Michigan, Donna was a licensed foster parent for more than 30 years, providing home and custodial care for physically and mentally handicapped children ranging from elementary through college age.
