Campus community members take part in the Cesar E. Chavez Commemoration Day.

Students and faculty and staff members participated in a silent march around campus March 29 to celebrate the legacy of Cesar Chavez.

The march ended with a presentation at Kirkhof Center by Miguel Martinez-Saenz, associate professor of Undergraduate Education and Student Support Services at St. Cloud University in Minnesota. He has worked extensively with students on the importance of multicultural education.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsored the day’s events, with support from numerous campus departments.
