The Grand Valley State University Writers Series presents Kelcey
Parker, the author of the story collection For Sale By Owner
(Kore Press 2011). Parker received a doctorate in literature and
creative writing from the University of Cincinnati and currently
directs the creative writing program at Indiana University South Bend.
Parker will give a reading on Thursday, March 24, at 1 p.m. at
the GVSU Alumni House. She will also give a craft talk at 4 p.m. in
room 136 Lake Superior Hall. Both events are on the Allendale Campus
and are open to the public with free admission.
Parker’s fiction and creative nonfiction have appeared in
Indiana Review, Bellingham Review, Redivider, Sycamore Review,
Santa Monica Review, Western Humanities Review, Third Coast,
and twice in Image, where she was featured as Artist of the
Month in November 2009. She is a regular contributor to the Novel
& Short Story Writer’s Market.
