More than 600 students will give presentations during the 16th
annual Student Scholars Day, set for Wednesday, April 13.
Sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Research and
Scholarship, poster and oral presentations will begin at 9 a.m. in
Kirkhof Center and Henry Hall and continue to 5:30 p.m. Event

Scholars and their faculty mentors are invited to a reception
and keynote address at 5:30 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2204.
Nina Jablonski, professor of anthropology at Penn State University,
will discuss “Why Skin Color Matters: A Look at the Evolution and
Meaning of Our Most Visible Trait.”
Jablonski conducts research on the evolution of adaptations to
the environment in humans and primates. She is the author of Skin:
A Natural History and is a fellow of the American Association
for the Advancement of Science.
