LGBT Resource Center hosts series of talks on sex

The LGBT Resource Center is hosting a series of lectures this week focusing on sex, gender and sexuality.

• Laurel Westbrook, assistant professor of sociology, will present “Born this Way?” and discuss how sex, gender and sexuality relate to each other. Her lecture is set for Monday, September 26, 4 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Pere Marquette Room.

• Activist Robyn Ochs will present “Beyond Binaries: Identity and the Sexuality Spectrum” on Tuesday, September 27, 6 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Pere Marquette Room. Ochs is the editor of Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World.

• Jay Friedman will present “J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All” on Wednesday, September 28, 4 p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center. Friedman has spent 22 years as a sex educator and as a consultant to organizations throughout the world.

• Milt Ford, professor of liberal studies, will discuss “Middle Sexes: Redefining He and She” on Thursday, September 29, 1 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2201. Ford is also the founding director of the LGBT Resource Center.
