The campus community is invited to the Venderbush Leadership

campus.
The fall semester reception will take place Friday, October 14,
at 1 p.m. in the Pere Marquette Room of the Kirkhof Center. The
deadline to register is October 12 at www.gvsu.edu/leadership.
New members of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honorary
and Alpha Phi Omega National Co-ed Service Fraternity will be recognized.
The keynote speaker is Mathew Sernau, a Grand Valley alumnus who
is a financial and investment advisor for Ameriprise Financial
Services and serves on the board of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of
Commerce and the Grand Rapids Junior Chamber of the Jaycees. He was
named Top Local President in Michigan by the 2010 United States

The reception is named after Kenneth R. Venderbush, who came to
Grand Valley in 1969 and served as associate professor, dean of
William James College and vice president of Student Affairs during his
time at the university. He was a strong advocate of student leadership
