Virginia (Ginny) Gordon, former administrative assistant in office of the Dean of Arts and Humanities, has died.
Gordon, who worked at Grand Valley from 1967 until 1995 was active in the drive for unionization of the university's clerical, office, and technical employees in the late 1970's, and served in COT union leadership until her retirement. She received the Maxine Swanson Award for leadership in support of the rights of women at GVSU for her pioneering efforts.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 1 p.m. at
Christ Community Church in Spring Lake.
