President Thomas J. Haas (second from left) took part in a
celebration marking the 15th anniversary of the Stevenson Center at
Muskegon Community College. Haas joined university presidents from
Western, Ferris and Muskegon Community College on November 11 for a
signing ceremony and to offer remarks about the longtime partnership
between Grand Valley and MCC.
Haas spoke about a Liberal Studies Leadership degree launched in
the fall for the Muskegon market and how students and community
members are able to hear influential and prominent leaders through the
program’s Speakers Series. Grand Valley has also offered degrees in
nursing, education, criminal justice, business and social work.
Grand Valley has had a presence in Muskegon for more than 30 years.
