FTLC workshop supports faculty writing projects

An afternoon workshop sponsored by the Pew Faculty Teaching and Learning Center will be geared toward helping faculty and staff members with their writing projects: dissertations, book chapters and other works.

"Supporting Scholars" is set for Friday, February 26, from noon-3:30 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2263. Christine Rener, FTLC director, said a number of experts will host roundtable sessions and help provide resources to interested writers. Sessions include Writing in Technical Disciplines, Preparing a Grant Proposal, Author Rights, and Publishing in Peer-Reviewed Journals. Each roundtable will be offered twice, and participants can come and go as needed. A buffet lunch will be provided; there is no charge to attend.

The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence, University Libraries and Information Technology. For more information, call the FTLC at (616) 331-3498.
