An afternoon workshop sponsored by the Pew Faculty Teaching and
Learning Center will be geared toward helping faculty and staff
members with their writing projects: dissertations, book chapters and
other works.
"Supporting Scholars" is set for Friday, February 26,
from noon-3:30 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, room 2263. Christine Rener,
FTLC director, said a number of experts will host roundtable sessions
and help provide resources to interested writers. Sessions include
Writing in Technical Disciplines, Preparing a Grant Proposal, Author
Rights, and Publishing in Peer-Reviewed Journals. Each roundtable will
be offered twice, and participants can come and go as needed. A buffet
lunch will be provided; there is no charge to attend.
The event is co-sponsored by the Center for Scholarly and
Creative Excellence, University Libraries and Information Technology.
