Grand Valley's College of Education will honor an outstanding
educator during its convocation ceremony scheduled for Wednesday,
April 28, at 7 p.m. at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.
More than 300 graduates are expected to participate. The
ceremony is a precursor to Grand Valley’s commencement ceremonies
scheduled for May 1 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
Deborah Creswell, a third-grade teacher at Parkview Elementary
School, will receive the Outstanding Alumni Educator Award. Creswell
earned a master’s degree in education from Grand Valley in 1989.
Creswell is being honored for her commitment to her students and for
creating an Odyssey of the Mind team at Huntington Woods.
