The College of Education is accepting nominations for The
Outstanding Leadership/Administrator and Outstanding Educator awards.
The awards recognize alumni who have made outstanding educational
contributions and whose careers reflect favorably upon Grand Valley.
To qualify, a person must:
• Be a graduate of Grand Valley
and affiliated with the College of Education certification or graduate
degrees
• Demonstrate by his or her actions the importance of the
education received
• Be distinguished in his or her career
To submit a nomination, include a brief biography of the nominee
and include one significant accomplishment that impacts the education
community and how the person has enhanced a school/institution
initiative. Also, include an answer to the following question:
For the Outstanding Leadership/Administrator Award, “How does
the educational leader personally advocate for education in their
community and beyond?”
For the Outstanding Educator Award, “What
contributions has the educator made within the classroom and in the
broader community?”
Nominations should be e-mailed to Forrest Clift at
[email protected] with AWARD NOMINATION in the subject line. Nominations
must be submitted by November 1, 2010.
The awards will be presented during the Fall 2010 Convocation
