Campus Health Center now using Metro Health

The Campus Health Center on the Allendale Campus is now using Metro Health as its provider for students, faculty and staff members, and their dependents. Spectrum Health had been the previous provider.

Andy Beachnau, director of Housing and Health Services, said the addition of Metro Health to the Campus Health Center in Allendale is a continuation of a positive existing relationship with one of West Michigan’s local health care leaders. He added that the university appreciates its partnership with Spectrum Health and the care its staff members took in providing quality health care to the campus community.

Beachnau said the switch to Metro Health means the Campus Health Center will have the ability to accept insurance providers and users will have access to enhanced technology to access electronic medical records.

An open house will be scheduled soon at the Allendale Campus Health Center, 10383 A 42nd Avenue, to welcome Metro Health.
