Kids enrolled in the Children's Enrichment Center checked out books on
Wednesday without making a trip to the library.
The Amazing Reading Bus stopped at the center. The mobile library is
sponsored by Allendale Public Schools, Allendale Township and many
businesses. The bus stops at the Children’s Enrichment Center each
Wednesday morning during the summer; young patrons do not need to be
enrolled at the center to visit the bus.
Sharalle Arnold, director of the Children’s Enrichment Center, said,
“Our student-parents like bringing their kids to the bus to get books
because sometimes their schedules make it difficult to find time to get
to the library.”
The Enrichment Center gave a $100 donation to the Amazing Reading Bus
along with a box of used books. Arnold said faculty and staff members
who would like to donate books for the bus can drop them off at the
center on West Campus Drive; call x15437 for more information.
