The Grand Valley Athletic Department will open Lubbers Stadium on
Saturday, August 29, for a viewing party, giving fans an opportunity to
watch the Lakers take on West Texas A&M in the 2009 season opener.
The game starts at 7 p.m., and the stadium gates will open at 6 p.m. The
event is free to the public. Parking will be available in parking lot C;
the Irwin Club lot and lot A will not be opened for public parking.
The game will be broadcast on the stadium’s video board. Also
concessions stands will be open and giveaways are planned. The football
game will also be televised on Comcast’s cable system.
