VAGTC holds seminar in intellectual property rights

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Van Andel Global Trade Center at Grand Valley State University is holding a seminar for businesses looking to sell products or services overseas but who have concerns about intellectual property protection.

Intellectual property protection can be a big concern, particularly for emerging markets, like China and India. Speakers include R. Scott Keller and Mark E. Spitzley of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP; Ryan Ong of the U.S.-China Business Council; and Gregory E. Kalbaugh of the U.S.-India Business Council.

The seminar is Friday, April 24 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Grand Valley State University's Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, 301 Michigan St. NE in Grand Rapids. Cost is $125 for VAGTC members and $225 for non-members. A $50 late fee will be applied after April 17. To register online visit www.vagtc.org. For more information, call (616) 331-6811.
