Grand Valley's football team will celebrate Halloween by hosting
the largest outdoor Halloween party in West Michigan.
Fans are encouraged to dress up in costume for the October 31
game against Northern Michigan and participate in the
"Trunk-or-Treat" party. "Trunk-or-Treat" is like
Trick-or-Treat except kids will get candy from the trunks of cars
instead of houses.
Fans can participate in two ways. The first is to be a
"trunk" and hand out candy to kids. Place a GV pumpkin car
cling in a visible location on your car and bring candy to give. The
second way is to come dressed up in costume. There will be prizes for
the costumes that are most scary, original, funny, and the overall
best costume.
"Trunk or Treating" will begin when the tailgate lots
open at 4 p.m. and will last until kickoff at 7 p.m. Fans can get the
official GV pumpkin car clings at both the Allendale and DeVos
Bookstores and the GVSU athletic offices.
For more information, call the Athletic Ticket Office at (616)
331-3200.
