The family of Grand Valley's founder, L. William Seidman, and the
Trustees of the University extend an invitation to join them on Friday,
September 11 to celebrate his life and accomplishments. This memorial
service -- to take place on the Allendale campus -- will be the only
opportunity to mourn Bill's passing, which occurred in May.
The service will he held at The Performing Arts Center (Louis Armstrong
Theatre) at 3 p.m. Bill's wife Sally and their children will be here
and attendees will have an opportunity to greet them at a reception in
Kirkhof Center following the memorial.
"It is fair to say that without Bill Seidman there would be no
Grand Valley," said Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas.
"He took enormous pride in GVSU, and I know his family will be
comforted by our participation in this service on the campus of the
university that he considered his greatest professional accomplishment."
Additional information on Bill, and the memorial service, can be found
online at www.gvsu.edu/seidman
For planning purposes, attendees are asked to confirm attendance online
at the above Web site.
