Steven Ford, actor, motivational speaker and son of President Gerald R.
Ford, spoke to the Hauenstein Center's Peter Cook Leadership Fellows.
Ford talked about character and leadership, his triumph over alcoholism
and his father’s days in the White House. Ford spent part of his young
adulthood in the White House and then moved west to become a cattle
rancher. He studied at Utah State University and California Polytechnic
State University before becoming a screen actor.
Throughout his 30-year acting career, he has appeared on numerous
television shows and in more than 30 films, including “Escape from New
York” (1981), “When Harry Met Sally” (1989), “Black Hawk Down” (2001),
and “Transformers” (2007).
