ALLENDALE, Mich. -- State Sen. Michelle McManus, R - Leelanau, met with
Grand Valley State University President Thomas J. Haas and members of
Student Senate and toured the university's library Friday, March 13.
McManus chairs the Joint Capital Outlay Committee and a proposal to
replace Grand Valley's original library is one of the projects under
consideration for state funding. The current structure was built for a
maximum enrollment of 5,000. Grand Valley now has 24,000 students.
