A campus memorial service to celebrate the life of Oliver Wilson, dean of Multicultural Affairs, is scheduled for noon on Friday, October 2, in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room.
The service will include music by the Voices of GVSU and remarks by President Thomas J. Haas, Dean of Students Bart Merkle, and other colleagues. A reception will follow in the Pere Marquette Room.
Wilson died on August 31 after a battle with cancer. He served as
dean of OMA for six years; prior to that he served as associate
director of admissions.
