Billy Curtis, director of the Gender Equity Resource Center at University of California-Berkeley, will speak at the next LGBT Resource Center Conference, which is set for Monday, October 12.
Curtis will address "Is Gay the New Black?" at 3 p.m.
in the Kirkhof Center, room 2204. The discussion follows a 2008
Advocate article that called gay rights "the last great civil
rights struggle." Curtis also serves as associate dean of
students at UC-Berkeley.
