Laker Athletic Publications Garner National Honors

Grand Valley State's 2008 football media guide was judged Best In The Nation by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) it was announced today. In addition, the cover of the media guide was voted Best In the Nation.

The 208-page publication was first among 30 entries vying for the top spot. GVSU Associate AD for media relations, Tim Nott, and graphic designer, Doug Witte, wrote, designed and edited the publication. Dave Tomke, Katy Gryzb and Abbey Rarick assisted in the production. All athletic publications are produced in the GVSU sports information department.

The GVSU women's soccer media guide and women's volleyball media guide covers designed by Witte were also judged Best In The Nation by CoSIDA. The Laker women's volleyball media guide, written and edited by D.J. Foster, was voted Second In The Nation.
