Grand Valley Writers Series: Benjamin Drevlow

The Grand Valley State University Writers Series brings author Benjamin Drevlow to the Allendale campus on Tuesday, March 24. His reading will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Padnos Gallery, in the lower level of Calder Art Center.

Drevlow grew up in Northern Wisconsin, just off the shores of Lake Superior, where he farmed, played basketball, and acquired various semi-serious, non-life-threatening injuries. He currently lives in Whitewater, Wisconsin and teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

His collection of short stories, "Bend with the Knees and Other Love Advice from My Father," won the 2006 Many Voices Project and was published in fall of 2008 by New Rivers Press. Refreshments and a book signing will follow his reading. The event is free and open to the public.
