Gay activist brings solo performance to campus

Grand Valley will present a solo performance and Q & A by an internationally acclaimed performance artist who explores the artistic, spiritual and political topography of his identity as a gay man.

Sponsored by the Theater Program, Writing and Art Departments, and the LGBT Resource Center, "Activism /Performance/Self" will be presented by Tim Miller on Wednesday, April 1, from 2-3 p.m. in the LGBT Resource Center, 1161 Kirkhof Center.

Hailed for his humor and passion, Miller's performances have been presented worldwide. He is the author of the books Shirts & Skin, Body Blows and 1001 Beds, which won the 2007 Lambda Literary Award. He is a co-founder of two influential performance spaces: Performance Space 122 on Manhattan's Lower East Side, and Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica.
