Faculty and Staff Campaign sees record number of donors

The Faculty and Staff Campaign surpassed a new milestone with a record 1,000 donors, thus far.

The record comes shortly after the campaign's Advisory Cabinet and volunteers held a celebration April 8 at the Meijer Regency Room in the DeVos Center. According to University Development, this year's effort by the campus community represents 42 percent participation to date and includes the following other records:

  •   105 first time donors, a 40 percent increase over last year.
  •   14 offices with 100 percent of the employees making a gift.
  •   120 volunteers from several campuses

"We're most excited about the 42 percent participation and the record first-time donors," said Paul Stephenson, who co-chairs the campaign with Mary Ann Watters. "Even the newest members of our campus community have decided there's great value in supporting this university."

Campaign totals will be announced after the campaign concludes June 30. For information on participating, visit www.gvsu.edu/fscampaign.
