Grand Valley is among the sponsors of the Sixth Annual Innovation
Through Diversity Conference, set for Tuesday, April 21, at the MGM
Grand Hotel in Detroit.
Hosted by the Detroit Regional Chamber, Michigan Roundtable for
Diversity and Inclusion and Crain's Detroit Business, the conference
will run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Keynote speeches and sessions will focus on
economic transformation with diversity, building inclusive communities
and helping minority business succeed in Michigan. Jeanne Arnold, Grand
Valley vice president for Inclusion and Equity, is among the panel
members for a discussion on post-Proposal 2. Others are from the
University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
The keynote speech will be given by Alexis Herman, former Secretary of
Labor with the Clinton administration.
