Children plant a tree for Plant Michigan Green

Children from Grand Valley's Children's Enrichment Center helped plant a tree on the Allendale Campus as part of the Plant Michigan Green initiative.

The statewide initiative, sponsored by the Michigan Nursery and Landscaping Association, coincides with Earth Week, April 19-24. Tree planting ceremonies were held all over the state with a goal of 200 trees planted.

The children planted a red maple tree on the front lawn of the daycare center. The tree was donated by West Olive Nursery in West Olive and soil amendment was donated by Earth Service and Supply of Grand Rapids.
