Autopsy results show DuVall's death an accident

ALLENDALE, Mich. — The Ottawa County medical examiner has ruled the death of Grand Valley State University student Linzy DuVall an accident.

DuVall died in her off campus apartment on March 28, 2009.  The medical examiner noted she died of aspirated pneumonia due to over-consumption of alcohol. It appears she vomited and breathed in the material, causing fluid to build in her lungs.

A friend found 21-year old Duvall, of Pinckney, unresponsive and called 911.
