Grand Valley State has record enrollment
ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Valley State University announces another record enrollment for fall 2008. Total enrollment stands at 23,892 — up 1.8 percent from last fall. This is the 26th year in a row in which Grand Valley enrolled more students than the year before.
Grand Valley’s fall 2008 incoming freshman class is at 3,938, up from last year by 410 students, an increase of 11.6 percent. This stellar class has an average GPA of 3.53 and an average ACT score of 23.8, which will likely keep Grand Valley’s freshman class in the upper quartile of Michigan’s public universities, as last year’s class was.
Grand Valley State University attracts nearly 24,000 students with high-quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities. Grand Valley is the comprehensive public university for Michigan’s second largest metropolitan area and offers 69 undergraduate and 26 graduate degree programs. It has campuses in Allendale, Grand Rapids, and Holland and centers in Muskegon and Traverse City. The university is dedicated to individual student achievement, going beyond the traditional classroom experience, with research opportunities and business partnerships.
