Analyzing the Bush Legacy

A month before the next president of the United States is sworn into office, scholars from all over the country will gather in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for their first assessment of the George W. Bush presidency.

During his two terms in office, President Bush has earned historic highs and lows in the Gallup poll’s public approval ratings, ranging from 90- to 28-percent. Grand Valley State University’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies will host leading scholars as they weigh in with their early assessment.

The event kicks off with a keynote address by Rufus Fears on Thursday, November 13, at 7 p.m., in the Loosemore Auditorium of the DeVos Center, 401 W. Fulton, on Grand Valley’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
