In an increasingly competitive world, business education matters,
according James Williams, dean of the Seidman College of Business.
Williams will speak on that topic during the next Seidman College of
Business Alumni Association Breakfast.
“We know that business is all about competition in today's world,”
Williams said. “We must compete for market share, compete to obtain
great talent, and compete to build businesses that last. Leading the way
are organizations with an entrepreneurial spirit and a global mindset.
More than ever, business education matters, to help prepare the leaders
of today and tomorrow to identify and be able to exploit opportunities
to achieve business excellence that is grounded in solid business
principles and yet is sufficiently agile to compete in our changing world."
The speech is Thursday, March 22, 2007, 7:30 a.m. in the Loosemore
Auditorium of the DeVos Center on Grand Valley’s Pew Grand Rapids
Campus, 401 Fulton Street West. The event is free and open to the
public. RSVP by March 16 to [email protected] or phone (616) 331-7100.
Parking is available in the DeVos or Seward lots.
