GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- More than 200 people, including area health
professionals, are expected to attend the inaugural Doctoral Physical
Therapy Research Day on Thursday, July 12, at Grand Valley State
University’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
Research by new doctoral graduates of Grand Valley’s physical therapy
program ranges from the role of physical therapy for patients with
Crohn’s Disease and other muscular disorders, to stress fractures in
runners, to exercise for shoulder pain.
The presentations will run from noon-5:30 p.m. in the Loosemore
Auditorium of the DeVos Center. Media coverage is welcome.
Grand Valley graduated its first doctoral class in April when 34
physical therapy students received terminal degrees.
