ALLENDALE, Mich. — For the second time in a row, Grand Valley State
University has been chosen as one of "America's Best Colleges"
by U.S. News and World Report.
Grand Valley was selected as one of the top 15 public universities in
the Midwest for its master’s programs, moving up to 8th from 9th last year.
Grand Valley also placed 44th of 69 Midwest public and private
universities ranked for its master’s programs. The university was scored
in several areas including freshman retention, average graduation rate,
class size and student-to-faculty ratio.
Grand Valley State University attracts more than 23,000 students with
high quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities. Grand Valley is
the comprehensive regional university for Michigan’s second largest
metropolitan area and offers 70 undergraduate and 26 graduate degree
programs. It has campuses in Allendale, Grand Rapids, and Holland and
centers in Muskegon and Traverse City. The university is dedicated to
individual student achievement, going beyond the traditional classroom
experience, with research opportunities and business partnerships.
