Nancy Harper, director of Grand Valley's Alcohol Education, Research and Training Labs, will participate in a town hall meeting to discuss alcohol and drug abuse.
The meeting is planned for Tuesday, April 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Comstock Park High School cafeteria, 150 Six Mile Road.
The meeting is sponsored by the Alcohol and Other Drugs Partnership for Healthy Communities. Harper will discuss research on the effects of adolescent use of alcohol and other drugs. She will be joined by representatives from law enforcement and health care agencies, and parents and students. The meeting is open to the public.
ALERT Labs, located in the Grand Valley Apartment Complex, educates the campus community on the dangers of substance abuse, provides programming and counseling.
