Presidential search forums set

A series of open forums has been scheduled to gather community input on the search for Grand Valley State University's fourth president. The times and locations of the forums are:

• January 17
  11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Kirkhof Center (Grand River Room)
  3:30-5 p.m.: Kirkhof Center (Grand River Room)
• January 18
  11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: DeVos Center (Loosemore Auditorium)
  3:30-5 p.m.: DeVos Center (Loosemore Auditorium)
• February 20
  5-6:30 p.m.: DeVos Center (Loosemore Auditorium)
• February 22
  5-6:30 p.m.: Kirkhof Center (Pere Marquette Room)

The membership of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee has been finalized. The members include search committee chairwoman Donna Brooks and her fellow trustees Lucille Taylor, Jose Infante and Kate Pew Wolters. Other members include:

• Rob Franciosi of the English department and chair of the University Academic Senate
• Shirley Fleischmann of the Padnos College of Engineering
• Steve Goldberg of the Seidman College of Business
• Shaily Menon of the biology department
• Linda Scott of the Kirkhof College of Nursing
• John Shinsky of the College of Education
• Dean Fred Antczak of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• Dean James Williams of the Seidman College of Business
• Jane James, Student Senate president
• Michelle Burke of Student Services (AP staff)
• Karen Loth of University Development (AP staff)
• Sandra Jennings, Athletics, will represent hourly personnel
• Fred Davison, president of the GVSU Alumni Association
• John Canepa of Crowe Chizek, community representative
