John Constantelos, associate professor and chair of political science, visited the University of Perugia in Italy for two weeks, to participate in the department's annual exchange. The University of Perugia is located in one of Grand Rapids' four sister cities.
Constantelos delivered a lecture on "Lobbying Strategies of Interest Groups in Multi-level Europe." While in Perugia, he also led a graduate student research seminar, met with the mayor, and worked with faculty and university administrators to plan a student exchange that was anticipated in the partnership agreement signed in 2003.
