Innovative artist to perform at Grand Valley

An artist with an international reputation as a new music specialist will perform at Grand Valley State University's Free Play Series.

Daan Vandewalle's performances have a strong focus on 20th-century American piano music. Since his debut in 1992, his recitals and projects have increasingly become more diverse and challenging. His programs are often highly unusual both on a technical or intellectual level, frequently combining the classical repertoire with premieres of new works.

Free Play is a new experimental concert series featuring some of the most innovative performers and composers of our time. Vandewalle will perform at 8 p.m. on Monday, March 27 at the Sherman Van Solkema Recital Hall, Performing Arts Center, Allendale Campus. Call (616) 331-3484 for more information.
