Grand Valley's American Humanics program was recognized nationally for placing the most students successfully in internships with nonprofit organizations.
The Excellence in Internships Award award was presented January 4 at the American Humanics Management Institute in San Diego, California. Annie MacLachlan, program director, said 24 students were placed in internship positions last year, culminating in almost 6,000 hours of service.
