The West Michigan Science and Technology Initiative at Grand Valley State University is hosting a speaker from the Harvard Business School to discuss how business can capitalize on disruptive changes caused by technology, regulation, globalization and competition.
Lynda Applegate is the Henry R. Byers Professor of Business Administration in the Harvard Business School, and she will give a talk titled "Don't Get Left In The Dust: Building Businesses in Turbulent Times." Entrepreneurs have always exploited disruptive change as the ideal place to search for opportunities. This session draws on lessons from both entrepreneurs and leaders in established firms to provide practical guidance on how to build successful businesses in turbulent times.
The event will be December 1 in the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes continental breakfast and networking lunch.
