The Women and Gender Studies Program is seeking nominations for the Barbara Jordan Award, giving to someone who has made lasting contributions in the areas of women's learning. The Women's Commission is seeking suggestions for two awards: Maxine Swanson and the Impact Award. The Women's Center is taking nominations for its Student Award and Positive Black Women are collecting nominations for its scholarship awards.
All criteria for these awards can be found online on the Women's Center Web site, www.gvsu.edu/women_cen.
Nominations for all awards are due by 5 p.m. on March 3. They can be sent to the Women's Center, 161 Kirkhof Center. Questions can be directed to that office at x12748.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for March 22, noon, in the Kirkhof Center. Margaret Sellers Walker is the keynote speaker.
