Final Black History Month event looks at integration

A University of Alabama faculty member will discuss integration at that institution at the last Black History Month event, scheduled for Tuesday, February 28.

Gary Hoover, assistant dean for Faculty and Graduate Student Development, will talk about integration at Alabama from 1960 to today. Hoover is also an associate professor of economics.

His talk will begin at noon in the Loosemore Auditorium in the DeVos Center. The event is free and open to the public; it's co-sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Seidman College of Business.

Hoover is an expert in public policy and income redistribution and had been a visiting scholar at the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin.
