Developing leadership skills beyond college

Experienced student leaders from the Grand Valley community are invited to participate in the Advanced Leadership Capstone Roundtable. The event is Tuesday, April 4th from 6-9 p.m. in room 215/216 in the Kirkhof Center. Refreshments will be provided.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and share the skills that they have developed during their time at Grand Valley. The roundtable discussion allows students to learn from other leaders, as well as prepare future student leaders. The interactive program will focus topics like leadership in society and civic engagement, along with lifelong leadership and community membership. Alumni have also been invited to share personal stories with students about their involvement at Grand Valley and their unique perspective on how that involvement has contributed to their active roles in the great community. Participants will learn how to develop leadership skills beyond their collegiate experience and into their future workplace and community.

Registration for the free event runs through March 31. Participants can learn more about the event, as well as sign up, by visiting www.studentlife.gvsu.edu/signmeup. For more information, contact Becca Ross in the Office of Student Life via e-mail or phone, [email protected] or 331-2345.
