During the program, experts will discuss the issue, with a particular focus on Chinas role in international finance. A mini case will be discussed, which involves a U.S. company that needs to respond to Chinese competition. The program will also illustrate China's current intellectual property issues as well as the challenges and opportunities that US companies confront today when doing business with China.
Program speakers include Arvind Singh of the University of Arizona; C. Peter Theut and Tom Moga of Butzel Long and Kok Chi Tsim of JP Morgan Chase.
The program is Thursday, February 16, in Grand Valley's Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, 301 Michigan NE, Grand Rapids. The cost is $95 for members and $125 for non-members. Registration and continental breakfast is from 7:30-8 a.m., and the program lasts from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
