Student leader nominations sought

Campus Leadership Week, a week dedicated to recognizing student leaders on campus, is scheduled to take place January 16-21. To thank students for their service this year, Grand Valley faculty, staff and peers are asked to nominate students who they feel display strong leadership skills to contribute to the campus community.

During Campus Leadership Week, the Office of Student Life will distribute 1,000 "I am Grand Valley" shirts to nominated GVSU students. Nominators may submit a maximum of three names of current students enrolled in the Winter 2006 semester. Nominations are easily submitted by visiting www.studentlife.gvsu.edu/signmeup. The deadline for nominations is December 6.

The "I am Grand Valley" campaign was created to recognize that student leaders help make Grand Valley what it is. Leadership extends beyond officers in campus organizations to student assistants in offices, athletes, orientation leaders, campus tour guides and crossing guards, tutors, community volunteers, and especially students who excel in the classroom.
